Shipping of Human Remains

At the Consular Section or via Certified Mail at Your Own Risk
Kindly note that we only receive mail on working days and during working hours. Also, note that we don’t collect mail from the post office or the offices of any mailing service. Check our holiday and working hours schedule for more details.
Complete a shipping of human remains application (select the link to get the form) and enclose the following:
- Two copies of the death certificate.
- Two copies of the official Health Department certificate for epidemic and communicable diseases.
- Two copies of the funeral home’s embalmment certificate.
- Two copies of a recent family/individual ikhraj kayd or Lebanese identification card (I.D.) for the deceased.
- Where applicable, Lebanese passport of the deceased.
- If the deceased is not Lebanese: two copies of the birth certificate and passport if available.
- Fees: Free.
- Complete a registration of death (select the link for detailed information).
- Certified self-addressed and stamped envelope for return (no return fees are accepted) if the passport is to be returned by mail.
