Legalization of Certificates of Origin and Commercial Invoices

Certificates of Origin and Commercial Invoices are only legalized concurrently by the Consular Section, while noting that both documents could be otherwise legalized by the US Arab Chamber of Commerce.

Legalization at the Consulate

Complete a legalization application (select the link to get the form) and enclose the following:

· Certificate of origin and the attached commercial invoice/invoices and a copy of the said documents.

· Fees will be collected only in money orders payable to the Consulate General of Lebanon:

For the certificate of origin: $25.00 for each certificate with a single commercial invoice attached to it, and $50.00 for each certificate of origin with more than one commercial invoice attached to it.
For the commercial invoice: $4.00 per each $1000.00 of the value of the invoice, with the fee rounded up to the nearest $1000.00 (the minimum fee is $45.00 and the maximum fee is $3125.00).
Certified self-addressed and stamped envelope for return (no return fees are accepted) if the documents are to be returned by mail, at your own risk, while noting that we only receive mail on working days and during working hours. Check our holiday and working hours schedule for more details. Kindly note that we don’t collect mail from the post office or the offices of any mailing service.
