Renunciation of Lebanese Citizenship

At the Consulate
Complete a citizenship renunciation application (select the link to get the form) and enclose the following:
· Citizenship renunciation affidavit form (select the link to get the form) signed at the Consular Section or authenticated by a notary public.
· Lebanese Passport and Lebanese ID or ikraj kayd.
· A notarized copy of a valid US Passport.
· A letter from the US concerned authorities stating the reason for the request of renunciation of citizenship.
· Fees: $1000.00 (only money orders payable to the Consulate General of Lebanon are accepted).
· Certified self-addressed and stamped envelope for return (no return fees are accepted), at your own risk, while noting that we only receive mail on working days and during working hours. Check our holiday and working hours schedule for more details. Kindly note that we don’t collect mail from the post office or the offices of any mailing service.
The Consulate will provide a certificate affirming the submission of the renunciation application.
